Question #1:

What is an appropriate manner in which to break up with my depressed girlfriend?

We've been dating for over two and a half months. The giddy love that kept us together has passed, at least for me, and I don't see it coming back. She's become more of a best friend than a girlfriend at this point. It is time for this relationship to come to an end.

But there's a catch! She's depressed, as I have known since just after we began dating. She has told me in the past that I am one of the few things that keeps her going, and the only thing that makes her happy. That's a lot of pressure in itself, and only yesterday as I am getting ready to break up with her, she told me this:

"I was at my therapist the other day, and she asked me what my happiness level was, where 1 is perfectly happy, and 10 is suicidal. I told her 8."

How do I end this without destroying her and pushing her to a 10?

My future brother-in-law is a jerk. He dates great girls and dumps them for stupid reasons:
Too tall
Too young
Too Christian
Too boring
etc. etc. etc.
He gets girls to have booty calls with him, he is very shallow- he wants a girl that's about 5'2", size B boobs, and wears a 0. It's ridiculous. He wants her to be gorgeous, not drink, tan, always be perfect looking and primped... He will look in the mirror and talk about how hot he is and how he can get any girl he wants. He works out all the time to look good for girls, he's a flirt, anyway, he's just such a jerk. But the reason all this started was because his high school sweetheart broke his heart a long time ago. He apparently used to be a good guy like my fiance. Anyway, I can tell he has a heart sometimes, but rarely. Like when he sees me and his brother together an he says "I wanna get married..." or when he invited me to have lunch with him (he's extremely cheap and expects his gf to buy everything for him).


Question: How do I help him or talk to him about this? I want to help.

I been dating this guy for almost six months. We are not boyfriend and girlfriend, just dating for now (my choice). He thinks that if we get together as girlfriend and boyfriend in the future, it is okay to start having sex immediately because he has been pursuing me so long. Honestly, my body wants to but my mind says no. I do not love him, and it will be my second guy to sleep with, and i really regret the first guy. I am not gonna sleep with him, but I was wondering what you'll would do in my situation. My questions are:

Please be honest. I am not judgmental at all. I know a lot of women get on here and say they have never had sex and all that, but I find that hard to believe because I waited till I was 19 and most women I knew were already on guy #3. We are on the internet. No one knows you. Just be honest!!!!

Any way, my mom said she didn't date guys would looked like her because "Light skinned (black) people think the sun shines out their a**, and that's why you don't see too many of them paired together. You can't have two (vain) people like that in a relationship."

I told this story to my boyfriend (who is around my mom's complexion) and he said "Yeah, I do think the sun shines out my a**."

But his mom said "Then why are the two of you together?" (Implying I was light and/or vain).

I can't tell if it's all a big joke or if everyone was being serious. What do you think?
I can't tell if it's a joke or not because my mom is just full of herself and my boyfriend is usually sarcastic.
My mother doesn't laugh. And I can't tell when she is joking or not.

Ok this happened a while ago but I was just thinking about it and I wonder what other people think. Isn't it like an unwritten law that you NEVER try to date the guy your best friend likes? I had a "best friend" and I told her I really liked this guy that she had never met before and then suddenly somehow she got to know him, apparently she walked up to him one day and was like, hey aren't you...? and then she got his number and everything. Then she stopped talking to me for a while and later I found out she was dating him. She had never met him before she knew I liked him. Even if she wasn't intending to date him isn't it wrong she got his number before I did? and I never introduced them. Tell me what you think about the matter, would you ever do that to a friend?

I am white and i have many friends of all colors. Someone who has always been a very good friend of mine (black male) is very upset with me and says i am racist. We have known each other for years and he asked me out, i told him no. When he asked me why i was honest. I have a lot of friends that date/married to a different race and i am fine with it. Dating yet emotionally deprived.?

So my bf and I have been dating for about two months now. It's going pretty well except for one rather large problem. He has schizophrenia, and as thus can be rather distant at times, and is very addicted to his computer. Some weekends I'll go to his place and he'll spend almost all of it tuning his computer, playing computer games etc. It's not that bad, usually I find a way to amuse myself but sometimes he spends SO much time on it (almost the entire day, no joke) I start to feel really neglected.
I've tried to bring this issue up with him, and he apologizes and admits he has a problem, and he'll try for a bit but will usually end up just going back to his computer.
How do you think I should deal with this? He's a loving, caring boyfriend besides this. He treats me really well, is honest, caring, when he is spending time with me showers me with affection, and I feel I can trust him, and be open with him and he is with me but regardless I still often feel neglected and I'm really confused where to take this. Help please!

What to do with unused baby formula?

While I was pregnant my cousin gave me about 10 can's of unopened, unused, up to date baby formula. Her son was very allergic and was constantly switching back and fourth between formulas. She gave them to me in case I had the same problem.

Anyway, I don't need them and I don't want to just throw them away. Formula is too expensive to waste like that!

I am not sure if she got them from WIC or is she actually bought them herself. Do you think WIC might take them? I really don't want to waste them.

They are Similac Alimentum (hypoallergenic).

What are signs that a guy is not happy in his relationship with another girl?

My guy friend started dating a long time friend a lil over a month ago. I talked to him yesterday after 15 days or so. He sounded very sulky, pessimistic and kept saying he is bored and his friends are boring etc. It sounded like he really missed me. There have been no pictures from christmas or new years eve posted of them two either, which is odd. But then again, it could have nothing to do with her. What are other signs that I can look for.

p.s. I have always liked him. We have been inseperable friends for 3 yrs, but I think there has always been something more perhaps.
